Welcome to the Material Science and Engineering Department

Department council

The department councils determine the department policy in the framework of and in coherence with the institution policy set by the Administration Council.

Every department has its own Council and is administered by a Director.

The Department Council is composed of representatives of the following categories, elected for 4 years:

  • Full Professors and equivalents: 4 seats
  • Associateprofessors and equivalents: 4 seats
  • BIATSS staff and equivalent: 2 seats
  • Students: 2 seats per cohort, renewed every start of school year

The Director of the department may invite to his Council any person he finds necessary, including the training or research unit directors.

The Department Council administers the department and assists the department Director.

They meet about 5 times a year.
